This is your chance to get paid to share your recreation facilities with the community. Maricopa County organizations with playgrounds and other recreation facilities can apply to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health for up to $5,000 grants that support community “shared use” of recreation sites.

Neighborhood facilities like school grounds, gyms, tracks, courts, kitchens, fields and other amenities that are often closed to the public, especially on evenings and weekends, are the perfect opportunities for these grants that are designed to help increases community access to recreation, healthy foods, learning and community well-being.

The grant opportunity is open now, but only through May 31, 2019. Click here to learn more and access the application, or contact Cheryl Rentscheler (602.506.6886 or cheryl.rentscheler@maricopa.gov).
