After more than 11 years leading Vitalyst Health Foundation, Suzanne Pfister, President and CEO, has announced her retirement this upcoming summer. Suzanne has led Vitalyst through many successes, including the creation of its Systems Change Grants, the rebranding of the Foundation from St. Luke’s Health Initiatives to Vitalyst Health Foundation in 2017, and the adoption of the Elements of a Healthy Community.

“Arizona is fortunate to have a servant leader like Suzanne. She has propelled Vitalyst forward with a new way of thinking, leading staff and community partners to think beyond healthcare and educate the community and leaders about the impact of social determinants through the Elements of a Healthy Community Wheel and The Year of Healthy Communities. Beyond that impact, her steadfast dedication to improving communities and mentoring staff has always been present. The Board of Trustees and staff are immensely grateful to Suzanne for her tireless commitment to improving Arizona’s communities through Vitalyst’s work and her extensive community service,” said Susan Pepin, M.D., MPH, Chair of the Board of Trustees.
