The Election is November 5 – Vote Yes to Make Arizona Healthier
Vitalyst uses its voice when necessary by supporting legislation and initiatives to make Arizona communities healthier. This year, on the November 5th election ballot, there will be several ballot initiatives from which voters can choose.
Vitalyst is endorsing a yes vote on Proposition 140, the Make Fair Elections Initiative, and also endorsing a yes vote on Maricopa County Proposition 479.
Why Vitalyst Says Yes on Proposition 140
All eligible Arizonans should have an opportunity to participate in primary elections. Proposition 140 provides such an opportunity and will be an important basis for a healthier democracy, healthier Arizonans, and better health policy. Health and civic engagement are interconnected, and as such, Vitalyst Health Foundation supports Proposition 140 because it will enhance the ability of all Arizonans to constructively engage in our primary elections. Why Vitalyst Says Yes on Proposition 479
Vitalyst supports policies that improve community health and well-being. Proposition 479 will improve the condition of our local infrastructure, create new public transportation options, and provide connectivity to the state’s highway system. Safe and reliable transportation options are pivotal to connecting residents to basic needs, including access to health services, food, education, and social gatherings. By funding public transportation options like buses, Dial-a-Ride, and vanpool services, Proposition 479 will connect elderly and differently-abled members of our community to the people and services they most need.
