Fund PHX: Your Chance to Allocate the Phoenix General Fund Budget

If you had $1.4 billion dollars to spend on the city of Phoenix, how would you split that money among choices like roads, public safety, parks, services, and other elements that contribute to residents’ well-being and health? With its new Fund PHX web-based tool, the city is asking you to weigh-in.

The tool shows you how general fund money is spent now, with line items like senior services, dog parks, emergency services, and much more. Then it asks you how you think funds should be reallocated going forward. There’s only one rule: at the end of your work the budget has to be balanced, so an increase in one category needs to be offset by a decrease in another.

You’ll submit your ideas to the City Council and the Mayor in time for them to deliberate on the upcoming budget. So make your voice heard. Watch this quick video to learn more, and visit phoenix.gov/fundphx today.
