What We Mean by Innovation, Pt. 2

innovation-hov-150In the winter of 2014 St. Luke’s Health Initiatives launched a call for transformational projects to fund. In many minds, the question became “what qualifies as innovative?” We can think of no better way to provide an answer than through the selected grants themselves, this time with Hospice of the Valley.

Hospice of the Valley offered just such a leap to St. Luke’s Health Initiatives with its grant proposal, and together we are making the move to provide Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction to family caregivers in order to support Hospice’s Palliative Care for Dementia program goals of improved quality of life and quality of care while lowering overall care costs.
