Maria Manriquez, MD is a UA College of Medicine – Tucson alumna who has been appointed Interim Associate Dean for Clinical Curriculum. Dr. Manriquez brings vast experience in program direction that spans undergraduate education, medical education, graduate and continued medical education. Dr. Manriquez was the director of the Obstetrics-Gynecology clerkship at the College since 2005. Currently, she is the Director for the Pathway Scholars Program, a rewarding program addressing diversity in the physician workforce. Maria sits on the ACOG Council of Resident Education and Gynecology (CREOG) education committee. She has served as chair and vice chair of the Arizona section of American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Manriquez was the Associate Director of the Phoenix Integrated Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (PIROG) and Vice Chair of the OBGYN department at Maricopa Integrated Health System and maintains a clinical practice at MIHS. She embodies innovation and collaboration and is well positioned to lead and inspire the directors and activities for the clinical curriculum at the College of Medicine – Phoenix.
