Coming Up Short, And What to Do About It

Arizona’s ongoing physician shortage is at its heart a classic supply and demand problem. Demand is a moving target, dramatically altered by state budget cuts and slated for a significant shift when additional provisions of the Affordable Care Act take effect in 2014. The supply side, meanwhile, isn’t prepared or resourced to respond effectively. Whatever the future holds, supply and demand need to be reconciled. The health and economic consequences are too compelling to ignore.

Join us April 24 from 10-11 a.m. for the release of Graduate Medical Education in Arizona: Growing the Physician Pipeline, an analysis of options for how we could go about creating an approach that fits our present circumstances and accommodates our likely future. The publication and conference are developed in partnership with the Arizona Chamber Foundation, The Greater Valley Area Health Education Center and SLHI.

Seating is limited, and your window to reserve a spot closes on April 17, so register today.
