A Brief Pause

For Fall 2012, SLHI is pressing the “pause” button on grant making. We’re taking a short break from the current cycle of awarding grants twice-a-year in order to get even better at partnering to realize shared goals.

The opportunities and the challenges inherent in improving health in Arizona are greater than ever before. Many challenges are met and opportunities seized thanks to the evolving strengths of our community partners’ work.

As the community evolves, so must we. The Board of Trustees and staff of St. Luke’s Health Initiatives are focused on that goal: ensuring that we’re as effective as possible in everything we do. We’re currently determining SLHI’s next evolution that matches community strengths to ours, and then we’ll be back to let you know what’s next.

As always, our doors remain open for the hundreds of community meetings hosted in our offices each year, as well as for direct dialog on our grant making practices. We look forward to any questions, feedback and dialog around our grant making evolution.
